A lady aged 86 years presented with a non-healing ulcer on the right foot on lateral side due to vascular insufficiency. The ulcer was quite deep, exposing the muscular tendons in the region. She complained of swelling of the feet, watery discharge from the ulcer and severe itching of the surrounding area. The treating surgeons had almost labelled the case as incurable, as regards complete healing due to the pathology and the age factor.
Homeopathic medication was started in July 2008. Within couple of months, the swelling and the itching subsided and the fresh granulation tissue started appearing in the ulcer bed. The current status, as of March 2009, can be seen in the other half of the photograph.
